Grey is such a perfect colour for this San Francisco home...bringing the fog and mist into this lovely modern home. The kitchen is a dream with the grey and white and those lamps over the island really make such a statement. Amazing wallpaper on the wall in the bedroom and I love the touch of pink. Following the grey theme into the bathroom with those tiles on the floor...brilliant!

This is such a cute cottage full of vintage finds. A great living room with cool shelves around the fireplace and the mix of wood and brick that is so well done. The bedroom is also a great space with the rough wood headboard mixed with blue and white. Bright kitchen with big windows and counter to ceiling subway tiles.

This modern rustic looks is one I have always loved. I am still seeing it on Pinterest and it doesn't seem to have lost momentum in design. How the pieces are being paired seems to be a it different…more eclectic with a new mix of elegant fabrics with marble, of course the antlers and a great rug to finish the room. Hope you are having a great week! I am in Florida soaking up a bit of sunshine and getting away from -20 degrees in Montreal!

The look of this little kitchen in this apartment would be so easy to achieve and I don't think a remodel of this sort would be very expensive.. Lovely subway tiles with dark grout looks so good against Ikea style cabinets and lighting. Wood countertops add the warmth this room needs as does the rough kitchen table. Very nice..

I bought a black and white Morrocan rug for my husbands office and I simply love it! It adds a great warm touch and it provides a neutral surface for the room which happens to have a lot of colourful art on the walls. These colourful Boucherouite rugs would be perfect in just the opposite type of room. A very clean white space would be amazing with a bright rug like these below. Here is a place on Etsy to buy this style of rug that has some very pretty ones in all sizes...

This gorgeous apartment in the 5th arrondissement of Paris has the perfect balance of modern and vintage. Very restrained with the perfect amount of furniture and accessories it is ultra sophisticated without being stuffy in any way. Shown in the white issue of Elle Decor this month it is one of the my new favourite apartments!

I grew to love the look of wood burning stoves when I was young and would go out to the nearby lake cabins and each cabin had one of these that we would sit around. I always thought they looked great in every space and were perfect in a rustic looking room. I think the Swedes do wood burning stoves the best..... the gorgeous traditional ceramic stoves and the newest wood stoves you see today hanging from the ceiling today. Not meant just for cabin living, today any of these stoves can fit into the right decor be it modern, rustic or industrial.

This little townhouse is another example of how the wonderful the architecture is in Brooklyn. A young couple renovated this Brooklyn townhouse with care and attention to the details and wow...what a great result! The ceiling in the library, the fireplace in the dining room...and that stove with the gold knobs....yes that is perfection.
