Under the Eves

Such a pretty little loft in France with slanted roofs that give this space such a lovely coziness. Love the bathroom with the glass and the open plan and black accents. Wood timbers add definition to the ceiling and bring warmth and texture. A tiny kitchen in black provides good contrast in this all white space.

Hope you are having a great start to the week!

Interiors: Glass Walls

If I was building a home today especially a condo or loft I would try to incorporate a glass wall. These are really brilliant don't you think? They let the light come through but block some of the noise and more importantly they add an element of design that is very chic. I think it would be great for a kitchen...you can see the action but your guests don't have to hear the noise you are making in the kitchen..the fan...the dishwasher etc...I especially love the black metal or the rough steel. Gorgeous!

Lovely Loft

This is such a great looking loft from Remodelista....so amazing. Modern with rustic touches and French style vintage furnishing...that is bold. Not a single rug on the all white flooring and the open concept is the perfect place to have this type of floor. Walls of windows to bring in the light....well I could go on and on.....it is very well done to be sure.

Farmhouse Style Loft

This is the home of boutique owner Anna Hillegass featured in Country Living Magazine. She owns this super cute store in Minneapolis called The Foundry Homegoods and her loft is just above her store. She loves to decorate her store and her home with great salvaged style.."I love older things that people have used and cherished," says Anna. "They have personality, character, and soul." I could not agree more.

Her father had bought this old foundry 30 years ago and used it for his own business. Once the neighborhood become hip and trendy she decided to open her own store and have her loft in the space. I love to hear stories like that....being able to live and work in a gorgeous space that you once played in as a child. Very cool..

Loft in Barcelona

A former carpet store turned gorgeous loft located in Barcelona has nice style and a certain cool. Great space kept simple but with fun design. Look at that amazing ceiling and the huge windows! Super lighting also with the mix of large floor lamps and ceiling fixtures. Big furniture pieces are really what is required here and the mix seems perfect to me. Nice bedroom and eat in kitchen make this loft space so great. What do you think? Could you live in a loft?

Artists Loft

I wish I had lived in a loft at one point in my life because I think decorating and living in a loft would have been so much fun. I have an idea that when my daughter leaves the nest my husband and I will have an adventure and move into one.....mmm, we will have to see. In the meantime, I will have to find a client that needs me to decorate a cool, industrial loft space.

This one in Atlanta is the home of an artist that combines her live/work space in a beautiful way. What I find really appealling about this space is that the shell is really raw but the furnishings are more refined so it makes a great combination!

Beautiful home in Milan with amazing skylights and floor to ceiling windows that reflect white washed wood ceilings and floors. The beautiful doors in the living area lead to a large terrace outside that is really a wonderful place for family or entertaining. Things I am loving: Shots of colour in the Smeg  fridge and bright books and the tulip table and chairs in the dining room. Also loving the sink on the wooden shelf in the bathroom! Isn't that perfect for a smaller space...

Loft Makeunder

The East Village loft of designer John Derian was a makeunder project and not a makeover. His desire to keep the original patina of the place is evident in the walls and floors of this former garment factory. Rather than taking the typical approach of removing and replacing the old he has done a fantastic job of lightly restoring and even leaving certain elements that give this loft such character. The antiques and art in the living room are what I really love..

Interiors: Brooklyn Loft

This loft in the center of Brooklyn was once an old rundown factory but this couple could easily see the potential through the dust and rugged finishing. They incorporated their furniture from Sweden and London mixing with buys from New York. The result is very fun, clean and eclectic set against white walls and the background of the city. Well done!

Danish Style

This cool loft in Copenhagen really sums up the Danish style for me. Clean lines, natural materials, modern but still with a warmth that comes through the textures used throughout the loft. Really gorgeous..
