There is something about textured walls that I really love...I am not talking about the old fashioned sponge painting here..I mean the "Hey look I tore the wallpaper off the wall and I like it" kind of texture! The rough feeling of old paint, brick, chipping wood, torn wall paper and peeling plaster.... contrast that against chic, sophisticated furnishings and lighting.

In the photos below the walls are shown with shabby chic, industrial and French style and they look amazing in every picture. Now of course you have to have the right type of home...but does it have to be a really old home? Can you achieve this look in...say a new industrial loft?
