My 2012 Top Posts

It was only 6 months ago that I began my website and blog. Wow did that go quickly! Why did I start it? Well I wanted to share my love of home decor (and of course of all things white)! A passion I have had for many years and that I fulfilled one other time in my life when I had my own home decor boutique. I was lucky enough to help my clients decorate their homes with the treasures I had found and I am so pleased to be able to do that again as I move back into the design field.

My biggest surprise this year came from how much I love blogging and the reason is really because of you! I am amazed at the incredible support from everyone and love and read every comment that I receive.

Thank you for making the past 6 months so wonderful and I will continue to try to surprise and delight you through 2013. Let me know how I am doing!

Here are some of my Top posts of 2012!

My favourite post of the year was the Paris Home of Patrick Gilles and Dorothée Boissier .

Greek Island Beauty with Paola Navone

This Creamy Cottage was a much loved post by me and you!

This lovely Gingerbread House...

And of course we all love Nina Hartmann's home and her books Vintage by Nina!

No year would be complete without a post on Shabby Chic!

And finally the most viewed and loved post was this beautiful Edwardian Cottage..

Wishing you the best for 2013! Health, success and happiness to all of you....

Copper and Light Loft

I simply love this apartment of Tanja Vibe, the owner of a graphic design studio called All the Way to Paris. The simplicity of the loft all in white and the gorgeous pops of colour throughout really speaks to me.....and what about all of the lamps. These copper pendants are amazing and add such great reflection to the room! Perfect...

Enjoy!

Vintage Industrial Mix

This former country store was transformed into a very interesting home for this lovely Swedish family since 2008. They loved the fact that it was large, unusual and quirky and I have to agree! So quirky and certainly charming as well. I would say it is still a work in progress but is full of so much potential. They have a wonderful mix of industrial and vintage styles with a lot of Swedish style thrown in which we all know I love!

Festive Home + Entertaining

I love this video on entertaining from Kinfolk Magazine and West Elm. So pretty and some great recipe ideas as well. (I don't know about you but I have not stopped eating for the past four days!) I have also included some lovely photos from Kinfolk magazine. I love the styling and the photography from this magazine.

Rustic Country Christmas

This creative home has so many interesting displays and uses each element in a new way that Christmas decor never looked so fun! From the hats displayed on the wall in the form of a tree to the framed wreath on the stairway I am inspired to try some of these super ideas in my own home!

Enjoy!

Inspiration in White - Christmas Tables

I am starting to think about how I will do my table this year for Christmas Day when the family comes over. I always do an all white table (of course) but this year I really want to add something different. I am not sure what that will be ( I will take a picture so you can see what I decide) but I want to add red or bring plants instead of flowers onto the table. Anyway, I have been looking for inspiration and I thought I would share with you what I found.

Light Filled Studio

A former barn this property has been converted into a studio for photography. I have often seen these images on tumblr and absolutely loved them. There seems to be such a relaxing feeling to this location and it would make a wonderful spot for a full time home!

French Country Christmas

This beautiful 18th century farmhouse in France is the perfect backdrop to an all White Christmas. Lovely architectural details such as the paneled walls and beamed ceilings are well paired with the furnishings and accessories in the home. The sparkle of candlelight against the mirrors and the glass add warmth to this elegant setting. What a wonderful home to celebrate the season! Love it..

Inspiration in White - Holiday Doors and Windows

I love these windows and doors (and a couple of blackboards ) with a beautiful touch of green in a wreath or a bunch of pine boughs. It is so easy and fun to add a touch of the holidays with a wreath hung indoors or outside. Add a bow, some pine cones and a few berries and voila! So many creative folks out there!

Enjoy!
