White Christmas

Just like you, I am trying to decide how I will decorate my home for the holiday season. I usually do a white rose tree for Christmas but this year I would like a change. I have been doing my research and there are so many great photos that inspire me I thought I would share a few with you. I think it will be red and white this year for me. How are you decorating for the holidays this year?

Inspiration in White - Chairs

Okay I am having a "chair" moment....or a "seating" moment actually. I am working on a project and am redoing some chairs and I am seriously obsessed with finding the right shape chair and the right fabric. I have been looking at chair after chair and I really love the old slipper chairs but can not find an old one to redo. I am also loving daybeds but did not find one of those either but found a chaise longue instead that has a similar look. I am having it redone now and will post the results when it is done. I have used some of the photos below for inspiration...

French Country Home

This home in the Lot valley region of France has been updated, from the previous dark interior, to the all white of today. Bright and fresh with all of the original features it is a wonderful cozy space inside and out. The doors leading into the dining room are heaven and as are the quaint blue shudders on the exterior of the home!

I see so many wonderful products I love all in shades of white that I have decided to start sharing them. I can crush on pretty much any product in white from bikes to cameras so the assortment will be pretty varied and not just dedicated to home decor.

Cottage Love

This cottage in Connecticut, filled with traditional American antique treasures, is kept light and fresh by using a consistent color palette throughout the home. Built in the 18th century, the homeowners have respected the history of this house yet gently transformed it for modern day living. I love it!

Victorian Charm

The bones of this beautiful Victorian are the perfect backdrop to the simple but elegant furnishings in this home. The many fireplaces along with the white washed wood floors and bright white walls help to create a beautiful flow throughout the space. What I think is so interesting is the mix of modern and traditional from the bathrooms to the furniture it all works to make a very interesting home.
