Mixed Chairs

I saw these photos recently and I was very inspired by the mix and match of chairs around the table. I thought it was so great to have this mix of modern and vintage chairs around a wooden table as you see in the first photo. I have two styles of fabric chairs around my table but I really like when it is mixed not just in style but in color as well. For a more vintage style home it could be natural wood mixed with white painted wood and taupe or cream fabric chairs as well or a mix of metal like the second photo. Here are a few ideas for of how to get this look...

The modern Eames style chairs can be found in white at Interior Addict.

The Tolix chairs can be found at Renovation Hardware.

The french style chairs are also at Renovation Hardware. I just love the mix of fabrics and the bench is so beautiful.

Enjoy!

Making Old Look New

The home of interior designer Hilary Robertson is all pale greys and pastels...very feminine with great vintage and modern finds. So incredibly chic and well put together this home in Brooklyn has a very individual touch brought together with a very sharp eye for design...love this place!

Enjoy!

Parisian Home of Paola Navone

I have featured a couple of homes of Paola Navone on my blog before (her home in Greece and an industrial home she designed) but I think her Paris apartment is my favourite of all of them. There is such a sense of whimsy and fun about this home. She always uses white as her base but she has added these wonderful shots of color throughout. Take a look...

Enjoy!

Inspiration in White - Lonny Magazine

I used to love the magazine Domino and was so sad when they stopped publishing a few years back. I even wrote to the publisher to express my dismay (which is not something I would normally do) but I could not understand how they could possibly close production! When Lonny the on-line magazine was started by one of their editors (Michelle Adams) I was one of their first followers as it really has a similar feeling to Domino. I am always super inspired by their ideas and the interviews and of course the beautiful interiors. I have picked a few photos from various issues to share with you for the Inspiration in White this week!

Enjoy!

If you do not know the company, Bodie and Fou, you must take a look at their website and blog. I am so inspired by their creativity and their approach to their business. The product they carry is really modern and mixes European design with French flair.

The two sisters, Elodie and Karine, are French but they built their business in London starting in 2005. On her blog Karine gives us a very personal and inspirational look at the building of the business that is Bodie and Fou and an intimate peek into her family life as well.

Take a look at some of the pictures from her home in London..

This is Karine with her husband and daughter..
