I always have flowers in my house...usually white...and I truly appreciate the feeling they give to my home ...fresh, natural and beautiful. When I don't use flowers I like to put branches and lately I have been seeing them everywhere in photos on Pinterest.

There are many ways to use them and below you can see a few examples. I love the tall ones in pots on the floor. They have a kind of presence that is different than flowers...kind of like having a large plant in your home....but different in the way of it being more raw, less refined which is a wonderful contrast in a sophisticated room. I don't know about you but I could not live without fresh flowers in my home. Every couple of weeks my husband goes out to the market and buys a few bunches of flowers and we make bouquets throughout our home. He is the best at picking the freshest flowers and he is pretty good at arranging them too! I usually buy white flowers, but in the summer I love a bunch of bright flowers on the table or some of the fresh flowers, hydrangeas and peonies, from my garden.

I was so happy to see that Holly from Decor 8 had a new book out and it's all about how to decorate your home using flowers. I have her other books and I just love them and I also love her blog here.
